Approving a Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license for Big River Pizza, Inc. (License ID #20150000849) at 280 Fifth Street East.

Body

WHEREAS, Big River Pizza, Inc. d/b/a Big River Pizza, Inc. (License ID #20150000849) applied for a Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license for the premises located at 280 - 5th Street East; and

 

WHEREAS, the licensee also applied for an Entertainment A license; and

 

WHEREAS, the licensee currently holds a Wine On Sale and Malt On Sale (Strong) license; and

 

WHEREAS, the premises is located downtown so a petition is not required; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections received no objections to the issuance of the licenses; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds for denial of the Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) and Entertainment A licenses; now, therefore, be it,

 

RESOLVED, a Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) and Entertainment A licenses are hereby granted to Big River Pizza, Inc. d/b/a Big River Pizza, Inc. (License ID #20150000849) for the premises located at 280 - 5th Street East in Saint Paul with the following recommended additional conditions:

 

4.                     Per City of Saint Paul Legislative Code 411.02, the definition of Entertainment A is, “Amplified or nonamplified music and/or singing by performers without limitation as to number, and group singing participated in by patrons of the establishment.” (includes karaoke).  Entertainment A license does not allow for patron and/or performance dances.”

 

5.                     Licensee agrees to take appropriate measures to ensure that the entertainment provided does not adversely affect the neighboring tenants (residential or commercial).

 

6.                     No outdoor entertainment is allowed without prior written approval from DSI.
