Approving the HRA 2016 proposed budget and certifying the proposed Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HRA) tax levy payable in 2016.

WHEREAS, staff has presented to the Saint Paul City Council the 2016 HRA proposed budget of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (“HRA”) for its consideration; and
WHEREAS, the HRA Board of Commissioners, in order to comply with the State of Minnesota’s Truth-In-Taxation laws, MN. Stat. Section 275.065 Subdivision 1, must certify a proposed property tax levy payable in 2016 to Ramsey County by September 15, 2015: and
WHEREAS, the HRA proposed property tax levy payable in 2016, is $3,278,148, calculated as follows:
HRA General and Lofts at Farmers Market Enterprise Fund $3,212,585
2.0% Delinquency Allowance 65,563
Proposed HRA Tax Levy $3,278,148
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota as follows:
1. The 2016 Proposed Budget is accepted and approved by the City Council.
2. The proposed HRA property tax levy for tax payable in 2016 in the amount of $3,278,148 is approved and certified to Ramsey County for use in calculating the Truth-in-Taxation Notification.
