Accepting the gift of the cost of travel, lodging, and meals from the Aspen Institute for the Budget and Innovations Director, Scott Cordes, to attend the annual CityLab Conference.

WHEREAS, the CityLab Conference will be held in London, England on October 18-20, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the Aspen Institute has offered to pay the costs associated with city staff attending the conference; and
WHEREAS, the conference is an invitation-only summit that gathers public and private sector leaders to discuss best practices and emerging trends from cities around the world; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services believes that attending this conference will be beneficial to the city in developing and implementing new and innovative ideas; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby accepts the gift for the cost of travel, lodging, and meals at the CityLab Conference and thanks the Aspen Institute for its generous gift.
