Honoring Representative Dave Pinto for the League of Minnesota Cities Award.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul relies on members of the Saint Paul legislative delegation to support the city’s legislative agenda; and
WHEREAS, Representative Dave Pinto worked diligently during the 2015 Legislative Session to understand the issues facing not just the City of Saint Paul but Cities across Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities has selected Representative Pinto as a Legislator of Distinction for his great work on behalf of Minnesota Cities; and
WHEREAS, Representative Pinto was cited specifically for his consistent consultation with League staff on issues brought before the Property Tax Division of the House Tax Committee and for his support of many of the League’s tax and aides policies during committee and floor debates; and
WHEREAS, the property tax division and state tax policy are areas critical to the success and vitality of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, without the support of legislative leaders like Representative Pinto a strong state-local partnership would not be possible; and now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED the City of Saint Paul recognizes the League of Minnesota Cities’ Legislator of Distinction 2015 award to Representative Pinto and adds our sincere gratitude and congratulations.
