Purpose of Appeal: [Emergency Lighting in the Church Sanctuary] would destroy the spiritual environment of our Church. We have not had any issues since 1921 and have made no changes or remodeled our sanctuary. My understanding is that we are grandfathered in.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Vince Zewers to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 261 EIGHTH STREET EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal for Item 3 regarding exit lighting within the sanctuary itself; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
