Title

Amending the financing and spending budgets in the Department of Public Works by adding $140,000 from MSA Contingency into the Montreal Avenue Reconstruction Project in order to fully fund and complete the project.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the reconstruction of Montreal Avenue from Snelling to St. Paul Avenue was budgeted in the 2013 capital budget with MSA, Assessment and CIB financing, and

WHEREAS, the spending on the project is expected to be $140,000 more than was budgeted due to poor soil conditions and the need to install geotextile fabric on the project, and

WHEREAS, there is available budget to transfer from 2015 MSA Contingency in order to fully fund and complete the project, and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for transfer of appropriation funds of $ 140,000; and

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $ 140,000 is available transfer of appropriation in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvements Budgets in the following paticulars:
