Title

Amending the financing and spending budgets in the Department of Public Works by adding $57,500 of STAR Grant financing into the 2014 Pedestrian, Bicycle and Traffic Safety Program in order to fully fund the Marshall Avenue Medians.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Marshall Avenue Median Project is currently budgeted in the 2014 Pedestrian, Bicycle and Traffic Safety Program in the Department of Public Works, and

WHEREAS, project bids received show that the total amount to construct the Marshall Avenue Medians is $115,000, and

 

WHEREAS, the median is located at the intersection of Marshall and Wilder and extends east and west from there, and

 

WHEREAS, STAR grant funds in the amount of $57,500 have been identified for transfer into the 2014 Pedestrian, Bicycle and Traffic Safety Program in order to fully fund the construction of the medians along Marshall Avenue, and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $ 57,500; and

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $ 57,500 is available for appropriation in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvements Budgets in the following paticulars:
