WHEREAS, the Cigarette/Tobacco license held by Snap Market, Inc. d/b/a Snap Market, Inc. (License ID #20070003014) for the premises located at 957 Rice Street in Saint Paul was the subject of a Notice of Violation sent on May 18, 2015, stating the Department of Safety and Inspections recently received a report from the Minnesota Department of Revenue detailing a list of contraband tobacco items seized from the licensed premises during an inspection on February 26, 2015, in violation to Minn. Stat. Chapter 297F.21, Subd. (j); and
WHEREAS, per Saint Paul Legislative Code ยง 310.05 (m) (5) the licensing office recommended a $700.00 matrix penalty; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Violation to pay the $700.00 matrix penalty or request a public or administrative hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Violation stated if the licensee failed to pay the $700.00 matrix penalty or request a hearing by May 28, 2015, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, Snap Market, Inc. d/b/a Snap Market, Inc. is ordered to pay a matrix penalty of $700.00 as a result of contraband tobacco items being seized by the Minnesota Department of Revenue during an inspection on February 26, 2015.
