Approving the extension and continuation of the agreement for transfer of St. Paul Police employee (John Serier) to the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office in the title of Chief Deputy in Ramsey County.
Body
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 15.51 et.seq. provides for the interchange of public employees among various jurisdictioins; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 471.59 et.seq. requires the consent of the governing bodies of political subdivisions to enter into agreements among them for such matters as employee interchanges; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul and Ramsey County through its Ramsey County Sheriff's Office desire to enter into an extension of a previous agreement for the intra governmental transfer of John Serier, Commander (out -of-title: Deputy Chief of Ramsey County) of the Saint Paul Police Department that was adopted by the City Council on January 12, 2011 in File No. Resolution 11-112; January 12, 2012 in File No. Resolution 12-2078; and January 7, 2015 in File No. Resolution 15-10; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council that the City be reimbursed by Ramsey County for all costs incurred by the City as a result of this transfer, including salary, fringe benefits, and pension costs; Now Therefore Be It
RESOLVED, that the proper City Officials are authorized to enter into a writen agreement consistent with the above recitals and applicable laws.
