Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept donations for the 2015 Arbor Month Celebration.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation, Forestry Section will be holding the annual Arbor Month Celebration on May 30th, 2015 at Linwood Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, Arbor Month celebrates the planting of trees, which add beauty to neighborhoods, and provide shade, wildlife habitat, wind and erosion protection, and more; and
WHEREAS, Bartlett Tree Experts has offered to donate $1,000 for the cost of a stage and podium rental and Capitol Region Watershed District has offered to donate $100 for refreshments; and
WHEREAS, these donations will benefit the event; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby accepts the donations for the 2015 Arbor Month Celebration, and thanks Bartlett Tree Experts and Capitol Region Watershe District for their generous gifts.
