WHEREAS, the City published notice on March 30 and April 6, 2015, seeking applicants for a competitive cable franchise, pursuant to Minn. Stat. section 238.081; and
WHEREAS, Century Link submitted an application and all required fees on April 24, 2015; and
WHEREAS, a properly noticed public hearing was held on May 6, 2015, to provide reasonable opportunity to be heard relative to the application submitted by Century Link, pursuant to Minn. Stat. section 238.081, subd. 6;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, that the Franchise Committee is hereby directed to perform a study and make a recommendation to the City Council regarding Century Link's technical, financial, and legal qualifications for a competitive cable franchise within the City of Saint Paul.
