Body
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MN/DOT) plans to rehabilitate the pavement on Interstate 94 from 7th Street to Mounds Boulevard, construct an auxiliary lane from 7th Street to Mounds Blvd. and construct a noise wall along Mounds Blvd., and
WHEREAS, MN/DOT has worked with City staff and conducted public "open house" meetings to address City safety and aesthetics concerns and have submitted a final layout to the City for review, comment and municipal consent, and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 161.164  requires the City to hold a public hearing prior to providing municipal consent and  provide a 30 day notice prior to holding the public hearing and on March 18, 2015, City Council Resolution 15-497, set the May 6, 2015 Council meeting for the public hearing, and
WHEREAS, the City Council held the public hearing and after receiving public input determined that final layout addresses City safety and aesthetic concerns.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul grants municipal consent to the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the I-94 Rehabilitation Project (S.P. 6283-175).
