Accepting the gift of the costs of conference registration fees from the State & Local Government representative, Randy White, from Microsoft for CIO Tarek Tomes to attend the Microsoft Ignite conference to be held in Chicago, Illinois, May 4 - 8, 2015.

WHEREAS, Microsoft has invited CIO Tarek Tomes and Jeff Nyberg, Deputy Director to attend the Microsoft Ignite Conference, a technology conference lecture series, on May 4-8, 2015; and
WHEREAS, CIO Tarek Tomes and Jeff Nyberg will have the opportunity to learn and gain new insights on key technology trends in the industry; and
WHEREAS, the organization has offered to pay for the costs of registration to the conference; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul find that attendance at the conference will be beneficial to the City in developing and implementing future technologies within the City, now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of the cost of registration to the Microsoft Ignite conference, and thanks Microsoft for its generous gift.
