Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $220,000 to recognize receipt of funding from the Minnesota Historical Society for the Como Park Historic Streetcar Bridge project.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature, under Minnesota Laws 2013, Chapter 137, Article 4, Section 2, Subdivision 5, approved funding to the Minnesota Historical Society (MHS) for Statewide Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants for the purpose of supporting history programs and projects operated or conducted by or through local, county, regional, or other historical or cultural organizations; or for activities to preserve significant historic and cultural resources; and
WHEREAS, the Como Park Historic Streetcar Bridge, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, qualifies for a Minnesota State Arts and Cultural Legacy Grant through the MHS Historical and Cultural Heritage program; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation applied for and received funding for the Como Park Historic Streetcar Bridge project under CF 14-1115; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $220,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2011 Capital Improvement Budget; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $220,000 is available for appropriation in the 2011 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2011 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended as indicated on the attached financial analysis.
