Authorizing the appropriate personnel to enter into MN/DOT Agreement No. 07518 for Streetscape Improvements along Snelling Avenue in association with MN/DOT's Mill & Overlay, ADA Improvements, and Re-decking of the Bridge over Interstate 94 Projects.

WHEREAS, Mn/DOT Project S.P. 6215-99 provides for the mill & overlay of the pavement on Snelling Avenue (T.H. 51) between Selby Avenue and Pierce Butler Route, ADA improvements at all pedestrian crossings and sidewalks, the widening of boulevards along Snelling, the construction of landscaped medians and the re-decking of the bridge over Interstate 94,
AND WHEREAS, The project is subject to the State's Cost Participation Policy,
AND WHEREAS, The City believes that this is a necessary and worthwhile project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the City of Saint Paul enter into Mn/DOT Agreement No. 07518 with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following purposes:
To Provide for payment by the City to the State of the City's share of the costs of the sidewalk, paver, and signal revision construction and other associated construction to be performed upon, along and adjacent to Trunk Highway No. 51 from Selby Avenue to Pierce Butler Route within the corporate City limits under State Project No. 6215-99 (T.H. 51=125).
Be it further resolved that the Mayor and the proper City officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any attachments to the Agreement.
