WHEREAS on January 21, 2015, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. RLH AR 14-77, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Property Clean Up services from August 1 to 29, 2014 at 44 Bates Avenue. (File No. J1502A, Assessment No. 158501); and
WHEREAS, the property at 44 Bates Avenue, being described as: Suburban Hills Vac 2nd Alley Accruing & Ex Nwly 5 Ft Lot 13 In Schafer's Addition & In Sd Suburban Hills Nly 1/2 Of Vac 2nd Alley Lying Bet Ext Nely & Swly Lines Of Alleyin Schafers Add & Sly 1/2 Of Sd Alley Lying Wly Of Ext Nely Line Of Alley In Schafers Add & Part Lyi, with the property identification number 04-28-22-22-0075 was assessed an amount of $348.00; and
WHEREAS, the owner, Gregory Kramer, contacted our office stating that he received an invoice for mowing the area between the street and the sidewalk at 44 Bates. In May and June of 2013, the City Council determined this area would be maintained by the Public Works Department would be responsible for that area, but the owner would still be responsible for snow and ice removal on the sidewalk; and
WHEREAS, upon reviewing the record, the Legislative Hearing Officer concurs and recommends deleting the assessment; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the reduction of $348, plus any accrued interests, be deleted. Council File No. RLH AR 14-77 is hereby amended to reflect this change.
