Recognizing the Saint Paul Police Department Community Billboard as a community asset.

WHEREAS, the dedication plaque on the East Team reads in part: "The St. Paul Police Department extends its appreciation to the Payne Arcade Business Association for their generous contribution and for being the catalyst that allowed the community billboard atop this building to be preserved.", and;
WHEREAS, the billboard's value to the community was affirmed at the 2014 Payne Phalen District Five Planning Council's annual meeting by an overwhelming vote of the attendees, now;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council recognizes this billboard as a community asset, encouraging its maintenance and continued use to welcome visitors as well as promote a vibrant, thriving, and renewed East Side.
