Authorizing the Fire Department to accept the donation of a laptop computer valued at $2,161 from Regions Hospital to be used for the Community Paramedic program.

WHEREAS, Regions Hospital has offered to donate a laptop computer valued at $2,161.00 to the Fire Department, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to accept the donation of the laptop computer from Regions Hospital, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is evaluating the Community Paramedic pilot program to identify the practical ability to provide/evaluate in-home care by offering a form of health care access for the residents of the City of Saint Paul, and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to provide a reliable and secure laptop that is dedicated to the sole purpose of the Community Paramedic program, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of the residents of Saint Paul, accept the donation of the laptop computer from Regions Hospital and extend their sincere appreciation to this organization.
