Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept the prize grant of $5,000 from the Bush Foundation which was awarded to the Right Track youth jobs initiative.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation's Right Track youth jobs initiative was awarded top honor for the "City" category in the 2014 Local Government Innovation Awards sponsored by the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and the Bush Foundation; and
WHEREAS, part of the award is a $5,000 prize from the Bush Foundation; and
WHEREAS, the department wishes to use the prize money on printing and marketing materials to recruit employers and youth for summer 2015; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds will help Right Track develop marketing and promotional materials to recruit youth and employers; and
WHEREAS, this funding will also support an end of summer celebration event in partnership with the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul accepts the grant of $5,000 from the Bush Foundation for this award, appropriates it to the uses described above, and further authorizes the appropriate city officials to enter into an agreement with the Bush Foundation, if required
