Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the capital budget for the Department of Public Works by adding $13,512 of Trunk Highway funding and a $14,877 Macalester College contribution to the Signalized Intersection Safety Improvements Program in order to install a Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacon System at Snelling and Lincoln.
 
Body
WHEREAS, Public Works has an ongoing initiative under the Signalized Intersection Safety Improvements Program to provide funding for safety improvements at various intersections throughout the City, and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Department of Transportation through a work order under Master Partnership Contract #3551 would fund the legs of trunk highway owned segments affected by the RRFB as authorized by RES 14-1891, and
WHEREAS, Macalester College has requested particular equipment be used in the construction and is willing to pay for the specialty equipment, and
WHEREAS, MnDOT and Macalester funding needs to be added to the Signalized Intersection Safety Improvements Program Snelling Lincoln RRFB job, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $ 28,389 in the Capital Improvement Budgets; so
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $28,389  is available for appropriation in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvements Budgets in the following particulars:
