Purpose of Appeal: We have obtained a demo & building permit for the building on this site & the building is under rehabilitation. Already being monitored by the building department.

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments: Staff noticed there was a previous vacant buidling appeal this year; however, Legislative Hearing Officer directed staff to accept this appeal. RN Previous appeal was withdrawn when they reached an agreement with staff for a 180 day waiver. Because the appeal was withdrawn, I think I need to review this. In 2012, the fee was halved and spread over 2 years, 2013 was paid. MM

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Jamie Thelen; on behalf of St. Paul Old Home Plaza, LLC; to a Vacant Building Registration Fee at 370 UNIVERSITY AVENUE WEST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the owner to pay $720 of the vacant building fee; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
