Amending the 2014 financing and spending budgets for the Traffic Warehouse fund.
Body
WHEREAS, the Traffic Division installs the street lighting systems on most of our roadway reconstruction projects;
WHEREAS, the street light poles and light fixtures for roadward reconstruction projects are purchased by the Traffic Warehouse;
WHEREAS, in 2014, in addition to the typical installation on RSVP projects, there was installation of street lighting on Montreal, Prince Street, and the Highland Streetscape Projects;
WHEREAS, the addition of street lighting projects on Montreal, Prince Street, and the Highland Streetscape Projects require additional materials purchased by the Warehouse;
WHEREAS, the materials purchased by the Warehouse are billed to capital projects to cover the expenses;
WHEREAS, capital projects already have the budget for the materials purchased by the Warehouse;
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $1,420,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, approves the amendments to the Operating budgets as detailed in the attached financial analysis.
