INSPECTOR NELMARK'S INITIAL INSPECTION NOTES:  05/22/2014:  This is a 1 1/2 story wood frame single family house that is vacant and open at time of inspection.Inspector Singerhouse and I inspected property and secured back door.This was referred by Sean Westenhofer of Fire,as revoked,however there is no revocation letter in system.House has defective metal eaves,rotted window frames,eletctrical violations as well as a number of items from correction notice.Refuse,carpet,debris in yard,on boulevard and full container.Per Fire inspector's recommendation,open category II VB file,SA.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Vacant Building fees billed November 18, 2013 to June 25, 2014. (File No. VB1501, Assessment No. 158800) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and
 
WHEREAS, the City Council's Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
 
WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Chapter 14 of the Saint Paul City Charter, said assessment is hereby ratified and payable in one installment.
