Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation in the amount of $30,000 from the Minnesota Beverage Association, and to increase the Payne Maryland (Arlington Hills) Capital Improvement Budget accordingly to reflect the additional funding available for the construction of the facility's walking track.
Body
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has been offered a $30,000 donation from the Minnesota Beverage Association, to be used toward the construction of the walking track at the Payne Maryland (Arlington Hills) Facility; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Beverage Association has a long history of supporting health and wellness programs across the state and it is especially interested in supporting programs which help combat childhood obesity;
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to accept this donation and increase the revenue and spending budgets by $30,000 in the Payne Maryland (Arlington Hills) Capital Budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there is available for appropriation funding of $30,000 in excess of that estimated in the 2010 Capital Improvement Budget; and
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the donation of $30,000, appropriates it to the intended use and thanks the Minnesota Beverage Association for their generous gift; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon certification of the Mayor, and the recommendation of the CIB committee  that $30,000 is available for appropriation in the 2010 Capital Improvement Budget and said budget as therefore adopted is amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
