Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in General Government Accounts to reflect reimbursement from other governmental entities for expenses incurred by City departments related to the 2014 flooding.
 
Body
WHEREAS, multiple City departments incurred significant expenses responding to the flooding of June 2014; and
 
WHEREAS, the funding to reimburse local governments for these expenses has been approved by the United States federal government; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA), in conjunction with the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety have been tasked with administering these funds and have approved the City of Saint Paul to apply for eligible expenses; and
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $1,246,084 in excess of those estimated in the 2014 budget; and
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following addtional amendments be made to the 2014 budget;
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves these amendments to the 2014 budget.
