WHEREAS, the Laundry/Dry-cleaning Plant license held by Cheryl Hilyar d/b/a Rice Street Laundromat (License ID #19980001033) for the premises located at 1104 Rice Street in Saint Paul, was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Revoke License dated August 28, 2014, stating on July 16, 2014, DSI was informed that a Revocation of Fire Certificate and Order to Vacate had been sent to the building owner;

WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code ยง 40.12 prohibits occupancy of any building without a current Fire Certificate of Occupancy; and

WHEREAS, in addition, the licensee failed to pay delinquent license and late fees of $214.00 and submit a completed Certificate of Compliance Minnesota Workers' Compensation Law form; and

WHEREAS, the licensee did respond to the Notice of Intent to Revoke License by coming into the City Attorney's Office on September 8, 2014, to state she was working with the building owner to correct the deficiencies in order to reinstate the Fire Certificate of Occupancy; and

WHEREAS, the Assistant City Attorney instructed her to send him a letter to that affect and he would bring it to the Department of Safety and Inspections to determine what course of action to take; and

WHEREAS, the licensee failed to follow-up on the Assistant City Attorney's request to submit a letter; and

WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Revoke Licenses stated that if the licensee failed to pay the delinquent license and late fees and submit required documents or request a public or administrative hearing by September 8, 2014, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
