Authorizing the Fire Department to enter into a joint powers agreement with the State of Minnesota - State Patrol Division for helicopter operation training.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department received $80,000 from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) and the Fire Service Advisory Committee (FSAC) to provide training and equipment for the Minnesota Aviation Rescue Team (MART), and
WHEREAS, the spending and financing plans for the $80,000 have been established on Council Resolution PH 14-269, and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department will reimburse the Minnesota State Patrol $30,000 for their costs relating to helicopter operation training, and
NOW THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute a joint powers agreement with the State of Minnesota - State Patrol Division for helicopter operation training; a copy of said agreement is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services.
