Title
Amending the financing and spending budgets in the Department of Public Works by transferring $24,938 of County funding from the 2012 Ped, Bike and Traffic Safety Program into the 2013 Signalized Intersection Safety Improvements Program in order to cover the costs of installing Audible Pedestrian Signals at various intersections throughout the City.

Body
WHEREAS, Public Works has an ongoing initiative to install Audible Pedestrian Signals (APS) at various signalized intersections throughout the City, and

WHEREAS, Ramsey County has agreed to fund their share of the APS installations at intersections detailed under Cooperative Agreement PW 2014-06 and approved by Council on RES 14-648, and

WHEREAS, RES PH 14-117 transferred all of the County funding contribution into the 2012 Ped, Bike and Traffic Safety Program, and
WHEREAS, there are four intersections identified in the County agreement that cannot be included in the Ped, Bike and Traffic Safety Program that uses Federal New Freedom dollars to fund APS installations, and
WHEREAS, the four intersections are: Dale & Arlington, Hamline & Marshall, Marshall & Griggs, and Snelling & Marshall, and
WHEREAS, a portion of the County funding needs to be transferred to the Signalized Intersection Safety Improvements Program in order to fund the installation of the four intersections separately from the program that uses Federal New Freedom funds, so
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $24,938 is available for transfer of appropriation in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this council, be hereby further amended in the Improvements Budget in the following particulars:
