Purpose of Appeal
Per Appellant's attached letter, "Fire Marshall Thomas has applied code MSFC 1028.3 of the International Fire Codes to 2110 Highwood Ave E, Saint Paul, MN 55119 however, 2110 Highwood Avenue is considered a R3 residence, (a detached 2 family dwelling) and therefore not held liable to the International Fire Codes, but rather is governed by the International Residential Codes per the exception included in Chapter 10 of the International Fire Codes as follows:" please see attached letter for futher detail.

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Debra Lassegard Johnson to a Re-Inspection Fire Certificate of Occupancy with Deficiencies at 2108-2110 HIGHWOOD AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal but advises owner to put up brackets and attach the bookcase to the wall; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
