Amending Chapter 33 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code creating a Residential Construction Management Acknowledgment Form and outlining the responsibilities associated with it.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1
Section 33.05 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

Sec. 33.05. St. Paul Residential Construction Management Acknowledgment Form
(a) In order to ensure that individuals or contractors performing new build or major remodeling, including demolition, expansion, increase in height and large additions for 1 or 2 unit dwelling structures in the City of Saint Paul are aware of and follow rules and regulations with respect to the management of their construction sites, the City of Saint Paul has created the Saint Paul Residential Construction Management Acknowledgment Form. The goal of the Saint Paul Residential Construction Management Acknowledgment Form is to ensure that neighbors directly affected by construction are informed of the project and made aware of the process for reporting violations.
(b) The Saint Paul Residential Construction Management Acknowledgment Form is adopted by Resolution of the City Council and may be updated from time to time upon recommendation of the Department of Safety and Inspections.
(c) The Department of Safety and Inspection shall be responsible for the distribution and collection of the Saint Paul Residential Construction Management Acknowledgment Form. The Saint Paul Residential Construction Management Acknowledgment Form must be signed before plans are approved or permits are issued.
(d) Failure to comply with any provision enumerated within the Saint Paul Residential Construction Management Acknowledgment form shall be considered a violation under 33.09.
(e) The Department of Safety and Inspections shall monitor the cost of notification and enforcement of the Saint Paul Residential Construction Management Acknowledgment form and adjust permit fees to cover any additional costs associated with the administration of this ordinance.

SECTION 2
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days following its passage, approval and publication.
