Purpose of Appeal
I am 75 years old and the house I bought 28 years ago & have been living in the past 27 years was placarded on June 21, 2014 with a Notice of Condemnation as Unfit for Human Habitation and Order to Vacate no later than June 23, 2014. I spent Monday night at the Midway Motel & am spending Tues night, Wed night and tonight @ the Days Inn on University & Prior. My car doesn't work so I rent a room for the night in walking distance. The motels I stayed at have no vacancies for the upcoming nights. I intend to rent an apartment at 748 Tatum and stay there while cleaning up my mess. They don't know if their tenant will leave on time.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of William Harvey to a Notice of Condemnation as Unfit for Human Habitation and Order to Vacate at 740 TATUM STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal and filed transferred to Vacant Building Program as Category 2; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
