Authorizing the Fire Department to pay for all costs incurred to hold a Safety Camp for Saint Paul youth on July 10-11, 2014 at the Jimmy Lee Recreation Center.
Body
Pursuant to the 2014 City Budget, the proper City officials are hereby authorized to remit payment for the Safety Camp expenses not to exceed $500.00.  This will pay for all costs incurred by the Saint Paul Fire Department to hold the Safety Camp on July 10-11, 2014 at the Jimmy Lee Recreation Center.  The Saint Paul Fire Department received a 2011 Assistance to Firefighters grant to cover the costs associated with the Safety Camp.  The public purpose of the Safety Camp is to create a safety event bringing together firefighters, police officers, and the diverse youth of Saint Paul in a fun, safe learning environment to encourage positive interaction while providing excellent life-saving skills.
A copy of said order is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services.
