Approving the modification of Neighborhood STAR Year-Round Program Funds for the Marshall Wilder Crossing.
Body
WHEREAS, on January 22, 2014. Resolution #14-138 awarded a Neighborhood STAR Year-Round Program grant of $40,000 to the Department of Public Works in partnership with The High Winds Fund for a traffic median near the intersection of Marshall and Wilder Avenues; and
WHEREAS, although the median design has been slightly modified, the project will still provide a much needed improvement in Ward 4; and
WHEREAS, as this project is of substantial community significance, it is the intent of the Mayor and the Saint Paul City Council to waive the STAR Guideline requiring a $1 for $1 match and adjust the recipient of this Neighborhood STAR Year-Round Program award solely to the Department of Saint Paul Public Works; and
RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes and directs the appropriate City officials to execute the necessary grant documents to implement this Resolution, subject to approval by the City Attorney; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, staff of the Department of Planning and Economic Development are further authorized and directed to proceed with all other actions necessary to implement this Resolution.
