Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $60,000 to be returned to Regions Hospital.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department was pursuing the possibility of providing wheelchair transportation service to the residents of Saint Paul, and
WHEREAS, Regions Hospital provided the Fire Department with $60,000 to start up the wheelchair transportation service, and
WHEREAS, after reviewing all the options the Fire Department determined that the wheelchair transportation service would be too expensive and difficult to sustain, therefore the $60,000 needs to be returned to Regions Hospital, and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the money to be returned, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $60,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2014 budget, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2014 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes the return of the $60,000 to Regions Hospital and extend their sincere appreciation to this organization.
