Authorizing the Police Department to accept the 2015 Juvenile Accountability Acceptance Grant in the amount of $10,292 with a $1,144 match requirement from the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department has been awarded the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant 2015 (Attachment A) by the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety; and
WHEREAS, the grant agreement includes an indemnification clause; and
WHEREAS, this grant provides funds to support and improve the juvenile system including reducing juvenile delinquency, improving the juvenile justice system and increase accountability for juvenile offenders; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that council accepts this grant and authorizes the City of Saint Paul to enter into, and Chief Thomas Smith to implement the attached agreement with the State of Minnesota which includes an indemnification clause.
