Accepting of the gift of Go-To Cards, given by Metro Transit to Office of Technology and Communication Department staff, to support the use of public transit and Metro Transit technology.

WHEREAS, Metro Transit has invited the City of Saint Paul Office of Technology and Communication Department to participate in a Green Line light rail experience;
WHEREAS, Theresa Cain, Manager-Commuter Programs at Metro Transit, presents the opportunity in the form of Go-To Cards to be distributed to all Office of Technology staff to promote and support the use of transportation choices;
WHEREAS, Office of Technology Staff will use the Go-To Card to support the use of Metro Transit technology and transportation after the opening day on June 15, 2014;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that participation in a Green Line transportation experience will be beneficial to the Department of Technology and Communications Staff;
WHEREAS, there are a total of 75 Go-To Cards with each one having $5 on it, for a total of $375;
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of Go-To Cards for transportation on the Green Line and thanks Metro Transit for its generous gift.
