Approving the acceptance of the gift of airfare, transportation, meal, and hotel costs given by Yale CEO Summit and AT&T for Mayor Coleman to attend the Yale City Summit and CEO Summit on June 3rd and 4th, 2014.

WHEREAS, the Yale School of Management is hosting a summit at the New York Stock Exchange on June 3, 2014, for Mayors addressing educational changes; and
WHEREAS, Yale has invited Mayor Christopher B. Coleman to attend the Yale City Summit and Yale CEO Summit, which run June 3 and June 4 respectively; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Coleman will attend the summit; and
WHEREAS, the Yale CEO Summit and AT&T have offered to pay the costs of three nights of hotel costs for the Mayor, as well as travel and meal costs for Mayor; and
WHEREAS, attendance at the conference will allow the Mayor to participate in the best-practice idea-sharing roundtable: Creativity in the City: Solutions from Innovation, where civic leaders will share innovation ideas on infrastructure, administration, education, housing, and business development; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that attendance at the conference will be beneficial to the Mayor in developing and implementing future policy for the City, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of travel, transportation and meals for attendance by Mayor Coleman and thanks the Yale City CEO Summit and AT&T for its generous gift.
