Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the capital budget for the Department of Public Works by adding $96,605 of County funding to the Signalized Intersection Safety Improvements Program to install Audible Pedestrian Signals (APS) at various intersections throughout the city.
Body
WHEREAS, Public Works has an ongoing initiative under the Signalized Intersection Safety Improvements Program to install Audible Pedestrian Signals (APS) at various intersections throughout the City, and
 
WHEREAS, Public Works has secured New Freedom Federal Grant Funds for this effort, and now Ramsey County would like to participate in the program by installing APS technology at various intersections along County State Aid Highways where they will be making other infrastructure improvements within the City, and
 
WHEREAS, the County will fund their share of the program at $96,605 as detailed under Cooperative Agreement PW 2014-06 and approved by Council RES 14-648, and
 
WHEREAS, the County funding needs to be added to the Signalized Intersection Safety Improvements Program, and
 
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $96,605  is available for appropriation in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvements Budgets in the following particulars:
