Approving adverse against the Taxicab Driver license held by Lamont R. Brown.

WHEREAS, the Taxicab Driver license held by Lamont R. Brown (License ID #20130001595) for the City of Saint Paul was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Revoke License dated April 23, 2014, stating the licensee pled guilty under an Amended Plea and was convicted on November 11, 2013, in Ramsey County of Gross Misdemeanor Carry/Possess Pistol w/out Permit - Public Place (Minn. Stat. § 624.714.1a); and
WHEREAS, the licensee was placed on Probation to the Court for a term of one year which is due to expire on November 12, 2014; and
WHEREAS, based on this information, the licensing office recommended license revocation per Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.16 (e) (4) (a); and
WHEREAS, licensee responded to the Notice of Intent to Revoke License to admit to the facts but contest the penalty and request a public hearing which was held on May 21, 2014; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Taxicab Driver license held by Lamont R. Brown for the City of Saint Paul is hereby revoked.
