Adjusting the 2014 Parks and Recreation General Fund Budget to reallocate spending authority from Council Contingency in order to provide additional staff for youth programming in recreation on the East Side, Teen Zone/Rice Street, and Frogtown areas.

Administrative Order, consistent with the authority granted to the Mayor in section 10.07.4 of the City Charter and based on the request of the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, to amend the 2014 spending budget for the reallocation of $266,312 to be used for additional youth programming staff needed in the Recreation Services - North Area. This spending budget is available through the reduction of funds that were originally budgeted in Council Contingency ($225,000 discussed in 2014 Budget Discussions, 2014 Adopted Budget Book, pg129) and a Community Youth Worker FTE ($41,312 transferred from youth programs budget to Recreation Area Budget). The Director of the Office of Financial Services is authorized to amend said budget in the particulars as indicated in the attached financial analysis.
