Authorizing the Police Department to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Minneapolis to provide police services during the 2014 Major League Baseball All Star Game.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Police Department (SPPD) wishes to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement for Law Enforcement Services with the City of Minneapolis; and
WHEREAS, the City of Minneapolis is in need of additional law enforcement personnel to provide public safety and security measures for the 2014 Major League Baseball All Star Game; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the council approves entering into this agreement and authorizes Chief Thomas Smith to implement the attached agreement with the City of Minneapolis.
