Pertaining to the retirement of Saint Paul Regional Water Services Chief Engineer Dave Schuler.
Body
WHEREAS, Dave Schuler has faithfully served the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul for nearly 35 years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schuler has distinguished himself in his service in the responsible positions of Water Chemist, Water Quality Specialist, Water Quality Supervisor and Chief Engineer of Saint Paul Regional Water Services; and
WHEREAS, while serving in those positions, Mr. Schuler provided strong leadership with vision and integrity and acted as staff representative at many meetings of the Board; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schuler has been instrumental in bringing source water quality to the forefront of the priorities of the Board and, as a result, the quality of the water provided to customers of the Board improved over the years and continues to be excellent; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schuler has represented the Board with professionalism and cooperation in many outside organizations including the Vadnais Lakes Area Water Management Organization and the Upper Mississippi Source Water Protection Group; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schuler has decided to retire from Saint Paul Regional Water Services effective April 1, 2014; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul hereby commends Dave Schuler for his outstanding and dedicated service; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the members of the Board extend to Dave Schuler and his family their appreciation and best wishes.
