Title
Amending the financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation by adding $170,000 to the existing budgeted grant amount of $600,000 to reflect additional funds received from the Trust for Public Land for initial development of the Frogtown Park and Farm project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation purchased 12.7 acres at 919 Lafond Avenue in 2013 from the Trust for Public Land for the development of Frogtown Park and Farm; and
WHEREAS, the Trust for Public Land has continued to raise funds and wishes to grant the City a total amount of $770,000 for the initial development of the park; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $170,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2012 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $170,000 is available for appropriation in the 2012 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2012 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is here by further amended.
