Authorizing the Police Department to establish a 2014 spending and financing plan for the 2014 Ramsey County Violent Crimes Enforcement Team (VCET).
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department (SPPD) has entered into the Joint Powers Agreement of the Ramsey County Violent Crime Enforcement Team (02-17064-I); and
WHEREAS, this agreement allows for SPPD participation and reimbursement of allowed expenses; and
WHEREAS, a 2014 financing and spending plan needs to be established for these grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $124,920 in excess of those estimated in the 2014 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2014 budget; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council approves these changes to the 2014 budget.
