Approving adverse action against the Cigarette/Tobacco license application submitted by Langano Grocery & Meat, LLC at 421 University Avenue West.
Body
WHEREAS, the Cigarette/Tobacco license application submitted by Langano Grocery & Meat, LLC d/b/a Langano Grocery & Meat, LLC (License ID #20120005385) for the premises located at 421 University Avenue West in Saint Paul was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Deny License dated February 28, 2014, stating the licensee failed to obtain an inspection approval for Building Permit #12-212139, and
WHEREAS, according to DSI records there have been no further inspections conducted at the premises since September 23, 2013; and
WHEREAS, as of November 21, 2013, the building appeared to be boarded up front and back and was then classified as a Commercial Vacant Building after a Fire Inspection on November 27, 2013; and
WHEREAS, based on this information, the licensing office recommended license denial; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Deny License to request a public or administrative hearing or withdraw his license application; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Deny License stated that if the licensee failed to request a public or administrative hearing or withdraw his license application by March 10, 2014, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Cigarette/Tobacco license application submitted by Langano Grocery & Meat, LLC d/b/a Langano Grocery & Meat, LLC is hereby denied.
