Consenting to and extending the Emergency No Parking Zone and Emergency Parking Restriction Declaration.
 
Body
Whereas, the Mayor of the City of Saint Paul issued an Emergency No Parking Zone and Emergency Parking Restriction Declaration on March 3, 2014 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 12 and Saint Paul Legislative Code Chapter 13; and
 
Whereas, the hazardous road and severe weather conditions described in that Emergency Declaration, and the resulting risks to public safety and the movement of traffic continue as of this date, and
 
Whereas, the council finds it necessary to continue the response and recovery operations, including emergency measures that deem even-numbered residential streets to be no parking zones; and to implement the emergency regulations as set forth in Legislative Code Sections 161.04 - 161.07, as specifically amended therein, and authorize city departments to enforce the terms of that declaration.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul consents to the findings and recommendations of the Emergency No Parking Zone Declaration and Emergency Parking Restrictions issued March 3, 2014 by the Mayor; and
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Citywide No Parking Zones established by the Mayor in the Declaration of Emergency dated March 3, 2014 are hereby affirmed and extended for a period not to exceed 40 days from March 3, 2014, or until further notice.
