Approving adverse action against the Taxicab Vehicle licenses for Cab #1975 and Cab #5386 held by Twin Cities Taxi & Town Car Service, Inc., d/b/a Twin Cities Cab.

WHEREAS, the Taxicab Vehicle licenses for Cab #1975 and Cab #5386 held by Twin Cities Taxi & Town Car Service, Inc. d/b/a Twin Cities Cab (License ID #20130000518) and (License ID #20130000519) for the City of Saint Paul, was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Revoke Licenses dated January 28, 2014, stating that DSI records indicate that his service company no longer meets the minimum of five (5) active licensed taxicabs in its fleet; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code ยง 376.10 (b) (2) requires that "a service company must maintain a minimum of five (5) licensed vehicles. If the number of licensed vehicles drops below five (5), the remaining licenses shall be revoked"; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Revoke Licenses to request a public or administrative hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Revoke Licenses stated that if the licensee failed to request a public or administrative hearing by February 7, 2014, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Taxicab Vehicle licenses for Cab #1975 and Cab #5386 held by Twin Cities Taxi & Town Car Service, Inc. d/b/a Twin Cities Cab are hereby revoked.
