Accepting Livable Communities Tax Base Revitalization Account grants from the Metropolitan Council and amending the 2014 Budget.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council on November 6, 2013, by Resolution number 13-1623 authorized the Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to apply to the Metropolitan Council for Tax Base Revitalization Account grants for the Gross Given, Custom House, and Western University Plaza sites; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council approved Livable Communities Tax Base Revitalization Account grants of $8,200 for the Gross Given site, $850,000 for the Custom House site, and $177,600 for the Western University Plaza site; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $1,035,800 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2014 budget and recommends the changes to the 2014 budget identified on Attachment A:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul accepts this grant and approves the changes identified on Attachment A to the 2014 budget.
