Authorizing the purchase of easements for the Trout Brook Lift Station.
Body
WHEREAS, on May 15, 2013 the City Council approved Council File Number RES PH 13-104, a Final Order authorizing acquisition of temporary and permanent easement rights necessary to construct a lift station to daylight water from the Trout Brook stormwater interceptor; and
WHEREAS, the City has secured agreements for the purchase of permanent and temporary easements on, over, under and across PID number 19-29-22-43-0007, address 1280 Jackson Street and a temporary easement at PID number 19-29-22-44-0021, address 235 West Maryland Avenue East; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to pay Sixty One Thousand 00/100 Dollars ($61,000.00) for said easements, this being a fair and reasonable value as determined by an appraisal and negotiated and agreed to between the City and property owners; and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate Manager has recommended purchase of said easements at the agreed-upon value, plus, other considerations as outlined in the Purchase Agreements attached hereto as Exhibit A;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the City of Saint Paul do hereby approve said Purchase Agreements and accept said temporary and permanent easements in a form and content substantially as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto; and further authorize and direct the proper city officials to pay the property owners the above-listed amount, said sum to be charged to Activity Code 40041900-76805-C133F06634192-76005; and to record said permanent easement with Ramsey County and pay all recording costs.
