WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education sponsors fee based programs to raise dollars for operating programs; and
WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education uses a number of Saint Paul businesses to provide food for the birthday party, overnight, discovery series, family classes, programs for 3s, small sprouts and Camp Como programs; and
WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education programs for 2014 are expected to generate a revenue of approximately $300,000; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education Department is authorized to purchase food items and to pay companies who provide food for educational programs in an amount not to exceed $15,000 in 2014.
